We are looking for someone with an interest in and experience of public accounting.

About the job

Sida has operations with complex accounting and many different areas, which requires the ability to understand applicable regulations and principles.

The position is located in a team of five people where tasks and secondary responsibilities are distributed among colleagues. As the accounting manager, you have a responsibility as team leader and you have ongoing reconciliations with the unit's manager, who is also the accounting manager.

You will have overall responsibility for Sida's financial accounting, year-end closing, and follow-up. However, the unit is not so large that the role may also include other tasks that occur within the unit.

The tasks also include responsibility for investigations related to accounting issues, developing and updating internal routines and regulations in the area, as well as working with reconciliations, analysis, and quality assurance. You will also provide support and advice within the accounting area internally at Sida, both in Swedish and English.

You need to be able to work independently, take your own initiatives, and be proactive in various matters while also having good collaboration and communication skills.

You will work at our office in Rissne Sundbyberg.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for financial reporting in the authority's annual report.
  • Together with colleagues in the team, be responsible for monthly reporting in Hermes to the Swedish National Financial Management Authority.
  • Be the point of contact for questions related to accounting and, if necessary, distribute them within the team.

Qualifications

Education

  • Academic degree or equivalent academic training or other education deemed relevant by the employer.

Languages

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Work experience and knowledge

  • Experience of independent qualified work with accounting and year-end closing.

  • Have experience of development and change work within the financial administrative area.
  • Have experience in leading teams.
  • Have experience of independent work with public accounting and year-end closing.
  • Have experience with Unit4 UBW.
  • Have experience working with complex accounting issues.

Good to know

The position is a permanent employment with immediate start. A probationary period applies.

Sida offers the possibility of remote work to some extent if it works for the operations.
